New Post
I have such a boring life..... Nothing new ever seems to happen to me, so I guess I will just start rambling on about various random idea's....
Update on my Shoulder: Things are going very well. I was released by the doctors. I am free to do what I want with out risk of hurting any repairs they fixed in my surgery. I have started to play tennis and volleyball again. It was weird playing again after a long law off. I have only played each a few times... It still hurt some, due to the activity since I went so long without using it.... But overall I am glad to be able to play.
Mom: Downtown Julia Brown is down in Memphis. She and Mike are working on the house. I am looking forward to a visit soon to see the house. She seems to like it (as much as possible due to the situation).
I am running out of ideas to write about.....
:)

Socialized Medicine... The Wrong Choice For America
Socialized Medicine... Good or Bad??
The answer for America is BAD. I am sick and tired of hearing people say that American needs socialized Health care. I am really confused on why so many American think we need this disaster in the United States. I understand that some people do not have jobs that provide insurance and some people can not afford the heath care coverage that they need, but why should my tax dollars pay for someone that doesn't work, doesn't pay taxes, or are an illegal alien? I don't understand why I have to work Very hard for my money and get nothing more out of the health care system than someone that doesn't put in the time, money, or effort that I do. How is that fair for the hard working American? The answer is Democrats want everyone to work to take care of the lazy bums that do not want to get out and get a job and support themselves.
Countries that have socialized health care, such as Canada and France, are trying to escape it. It doesn't work. Yes, everyone has the opportunity to health care, but the quality of care will decrease immediately.

Life After Surgery
The big day has come and gone. I had my surgery two weeks ago. I am recovering nicely. I still have pain from the shaving of the bone. I spent most of my recovery with the wonderful Grandparents.
Returning to work was somewhat difficult. It felt really weird to return to work after being off for a week and a half.
My life hasn't slowed down any. I was selected to be a juror or the Grand Jury and my great Aunt Polly passed away. I have been juggling my time between work and running around try to fill obligations. But, beside all of that, life is pretty much the same. My mother has left Paducah, to start on a new journey in Olive Branch, MS. She had to relocate for employment purposes. I already miss her very much. But, life must go on.
That's about all that is new with me...... I am ready for Fall though... I am ready for Volleyball and Football season.
Until next time.....

The Countdown to Surgery
I never thought I would say this, but I am so ready to have my surgery! I will being having my rotator cuff surgery on July 22. I don't know the time just yet, which I think is dumb. Dr. Hunt's office will call me on Tuesday, the day before, morning to let me know what time I need to be at the hospital. I am ready to cut my own arm open to get some relief. Moving it the slightest wrong way, make it hurt beyond belief.
I don't know the exact time that I will be off from work. Right now I am planning on being off around a week! I will be staying with my grandparents in Reidland after the surgery. Since my arm will be bound to my body, I figure that I will need some assistance. I will try to keep everyone posted through Blog and Facebook!
Please keep me in your prayers next week!
Adios!

Weekend in Elizabethtown
This weekend has been spent in Elizabethtown visiting family. I started my journey on Saturday, to help my Mom out by watching Marion and Macy Norton, my step sister's children. It has not been a good weekend for my stepsisters. They lost their grandfather Saturday morning. Christy and Michael were suppose to be leaving for Florida on Saturday. Now, the vacation has been put on hold and Hailey has flown in from Miami. I wish the circumstances would have been better for me to see Hailey, Christy, and Michael. My thoughts and prays go out to them and their family!
Also, I have been in shock this week since Michael Jackson DIED! I still cant believe that the King of Pop is dead. I am anxious to see if they have a big funeral for him....
This coming weekend in the 4th weekend. Right now, I do not have any plans..... I believe that Derek, Lauren, and I will be going to Six Flags next Monday! I excited about that.... Ive got to ride as many roller coasters as I can before my surgery....

Hello!
Nothing new happening in my world. I don't have an update on my shoulder.... I have the appointment on June 11. I am really looking forward to seeing what Dr. Hunt has to say. I know that I am ready to do whatever it takes to heal my shoulder. I woke up this morning, like every other morning, with the WORST pain in my shoulder. I don't understand why it hurts so much in the night while I am trying to sleep.... You would think that with my body relaxed and sleeping, the shoulder would relax and feel better too..... but no!!!
That's all that is new with me..... I am not looking forward to my Mom moving to Memphis..... that is going to suck going to visit her.... I really hate to drive to Memphis.... such boning roads....

Torn Rotator Cuff
Well, I have been having some shoulder pain since December. I decided to go to an orthopedic doctor trying to find an answer for y constant shoulder pain. Well, i finally received my answer this week. After two cortisone shots and a MRI, I have a torn rotator cuff. I have to have a consultation with Dr. Hunt on June 11 to discuss surgery. I am not looking forward to having surgery. I wish I didn't have to wait so long to see Dr. Hunt.... But that's life, I guess.
That's is all that is new with me...... I will update when I finally hear from the doctor....

Bored
I am sitting at home on a Friday night. I have no plans for the evening. I have enjoyed just sitting at home watch TV for once. I have been having trouble with my shoulder lately. I had to have a MRI yesterday. the doctor thinks I might have torn my rotator cuff. I didn't receive a call back today from his office. I guess I will have to wait until Tuesday to find out what is wrong with me.
Right now, I am watching College Softball. The WCWS starts next week. I hope Florida or Alabama win the title. GO SEC!!!

American Idol Winner, Kris Allen, the right choice?
Some people are upset that Kris won last night. I am personally glad that Kris Allen won American Idol season 8. I have liked Kris since the beginning. I thought he was very talented and deserved to win. I never has grasped why America was in love with Adam? We couldn't sing, we could scream.... there is a big difference between to two. I think Adam is a great entertainer, but with his personal choices off the show (drag queen), America was not going to pick someone with no moral to be the next American Idol.

Kentucky Derby Weekend
It is Friday, May 1, 4:30 p.m. I have 30 minutes left of work. I am ready for the weekend to begin. I don't know what all I will be doing this weekend. I know that I will be watching the Kentucky Derby. I am also thinking about making Mint Juleps. I have never had one before.
Anyway, Dallas and Tevin has Prom this weekend. I guess I will drive to Mayfield tomorrow to see them dressed up in their tuxes. Dallas also has to have surgery again on Monday. He has a hernia in his stomach, from the appendectomy he had earlier this month!
Anyway, 30 more minutes until the weekend!!! :)

Obama: First 100 Days
I am sick and tired of hear about what a WONDERFUL job Obama has done his first 100 days. I personally do not believe that he has accomplished anything spectacular. Once again the mass media makes him out to be the "chosen" one of politics. I am dumb founded why people think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

For example, the "photo op" yesterday that President Obama approved was first of all, stupid, and second of all, it cost tax payers $350,000. With the economy the way it is right now, what kind of purchase was that??? I guess its par for the course.

Blah Blah Blah
Right now, I am sitting home, BORED out of my mind. I really enjoy living by myself, but I get so bored so easily!!! I have got to find a way to keep me busy when I finally make it home at night.
Any suggestions?????
I had a busy weekend! Saturday morning, I help my Mom at her yard sale. She made a good profit. After the yard sale, I had dinner with my aunt and uncle at The Spicy Ginger Cafe in Paducah. The food was great. I would recommend it to anyone that likes Chinese food.
I hate that the weekends go by so fast. I wonder why the work week goes by so slow and the weekend goes by in a flash.......

Im Back
Hello!
I made it back from the big city. After a cancelled flight from Memphis to Paducah, I arrived in Paducah around 10 o'clock. The plus side to the cancelled flight, Rachael and I got to meet a new person. While we were in the airport, fusing at the airline employee's, we met a lady named Reon. She was traveling to Paducah for the AQS Quilt show. She asked me if we were going to Paducah and asked if she could ride with us. She was a very fun to travel with. She told us about her family and two children. She made the ride go by much faster than anticipated.
Now, I have been back to work for two days. I am so thankful to have such great co-workers. They really helped me out while I was gone by doing some of my daily routines. Anyway, I cant wait to go back to NYC.
See ya later!

New York City: Day 2
Hello!
Today has been another busy day! First, we took the subway to Battery Park, to take a Ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island.
This photo is of a man that would sing a song about where you were from, once we told him that we were from Kentucky, he made up a song about Smoking Bluegrass.... He was very intertaining. Good thing we got in line when we did. After we went to Ellis Island, we took off towards Ground Zero. We had lunch one block from the WTC Towers.
After lunch, we started walking towards Wall Street. We ran into Trinity Avenue. We decided to drop in for a quick look, and what we found was a free concert. Every week they have a concert at One O'clock in the afternoon.
After the financial district, we heading down to Times Square... talk about crowded!!! There were people from corner to corner! I finally found a guy selling knock off purses. I got Lauren a D&G purse!!!!
Anyway, got to run! Tonight, we will be seeing "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway!
P.S. Tomorrow we are going to be on the Today Show!!! Look for us!!!

New York City: Day 1
Hello All!
Today I flew to New York City with my friend Rachael. We had a great flight! We had a small delay in Memphis.

One we got to NYC, we had to take an infamous cab ride to our hotel. Surprisingly enough, the ride wasn't bad. Here is a photo of the cab driver.
We had a very busy day. Once we got out bearings down ( ha), we decided to take on the big city!

Today, we went to Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, Fifth Avenue, watched the new Archbishop of New York walk from St. Patrick's Cathedral to his Limo, Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Grand Central Station.
We got a bunch accomplished today! We are both pretty tired. Tomorrow, we plan on going to the financial district. I hope you enjoy the photos! I will be loading all of them on Snapfish tonight too!!!
